Hawaii is never easy... and for a bunch of up-and-coming Aussie/ kiwi freesurfers trying to etch their names into the history books, it’s borderline impossible. But six out of the seven (last month’s cover star Ricardo Christie was land-locked in En Zed with a busted ankle) 2009 Black Knight contenders had a red-hot dig on the Rock this season (and not just in the water). The result? Big pits and sick chicks, of course!
